Back in the 1940’s and 50’s children with mental health conditions had nowhere to go. In 1955, the grande opening of Tortured Oaks Centre for the mentally disheveled blessed the world with a new approach They explored innovative treatments for common conditions while other hospitals’ treatments were generic and speculative at best. After they introduced a new method, Trois Sousse, named after an unaccomplished drunken French sea captain and his peg-legged parrot, the results were overwhelmingly existent.
